Guiding families down the path towards healing
Since September 2000, Kidzcope has been providing peer-centered bereavement support to grieving children and their families. Using expressive arts and peer group activities, we have helped more than 5,000 children and families navigate grief and learn lifelong coping skills. We have humbly walked alongside families on their path towards healing, from the beginning stages of their grief and through the years that follow.
Merger with the Wichita Children’s Home and the future
On July 1, 2018 Kidzcope became part of the Wichita Children’s Home (WCH) family of services to meet the ever-growing challenges of grieving children in our community. Utilizing WCH’s trauma-informed, restorative practice approach, our hope is to expand services and begin to provide a complementary therapeutic treatment approach to caring for vulnerable and traumatized children suffering from ambiguous loss and grief.
Caring for children and strengthening families
Kidzcope will continue to offer its signature programs to children ages 3 to 18 and their families at 9415 E. Harry, Suite 501 with the addition of new space in the WCH’s main building to be designated as a Kidzcope site to serve children in WCH residential care.
Services will remain at no cost to children and families.
